    Week 3

    The article that we are to read is about the 1986 World Cup. This World Cup is most known for the incident of Diego Maradona’s “Hand of God”. This event led to the “Goal of the Century,” which most people overlook. The 1986 World Cup was the first World Cup held in the North American region. The article goes into depth about why that was sufficient for the World Cup and for the people who lived in Mexico. They spoke about how it impacted the culture more than anything else, which makes sense because of the amount of attention that the “Hand of God” got. The article tells how the reader could have supported Mexico during the World Cup. The Article spoke primarily about the things around the World Cup rather than the games themselves.

    About me: I (Henry) have always played soccer because of my older brother. I only played travel soccer once because my parents didn’t like missing church on Sundays. I played soccer through highschool inwhich I got four concussions in two years( only one was a header). These injuries made me fall out of love with the sport. I think Salah should get more recognition.
